Agenda
유기동물이 입양되면 반려동물이 되고, 반려동물이 버려지면 유기동물이 된다. 반려동물과 유기동물은 다른 이름을 가진 같은 생명이지만, 우리 사회가 이들을 대하는 태도는 사뭇 다르다. 본 프로젝트는 반려동물과 유기동물 시설을 기능에 따라 효율적으로 통합하여 둘 사이의 격차를 좁히는 동물복지시설을 제안한다. 도심 속 반려동물과 유기동물 인프라를 동시에 확충함으로써, 반려가구의 편의를 증진하고 유기동물에 대한 인식을 고취하고자 한다.
When a stray animal is adopted, it becomes a companion animal; when a companion animal is abandoned, it becomes a stray. Though they are the same life under different names, the attitudes of our society toward them are quite different. This project proposes an animal welfare facility that narrows the gap between the two, by efficiently integrating companion animal facilities and abandoned animal facilities according to their functions.
Concept
Design
대형견과 소형견, 반려견과 유기견이 한데 어울려 살아가기 위해서는 안전이 보장되어야 한다. 건물은 크게 소형견과 대형견 구역으로 구분되며, 이들의 접촉을 최소화하기 위해 모든 공간 및 동선을 분리했다. 선큰을 두르는 켄넬 또한 서로가 서로의 시야에 들어오지 않도록 배치했다. 구조된 유기동물은 안전 및 위생 상의 이유로 독립된 동선을 두었다. 반려견과 유기견 놀이터를 분리하되, 메쉬를 사용해 시각적으로 열어두고 개폐 가능하게 계획하여 사회화를 마친 유기동물이 반려동물과 어울려 놀 수 있도록 한다.
Large and small dogs, companion and abandoned dogs; Safety must be guaranteed in order for them to live together. The building is divided into small dog and large dog areas, with all spaces and routes seperated. The kennels are carefully positioned to keep the dogs out of each other’s line of sight. Rescued animals follow an independent circulation due to safety and hygiene reasons. While the play areas for companion dogs and abandoned dogs are separated, a mesh partition provides visual openness and can be opened as needed, allowing socialized abandoned dogs interact with companion dogs.
